The gas and oil price increases affects everyone. No one is immune to the domino effect it causes. For instance imagine that the only fruits and vegetables we will be able to buy in our grocery stores will be the ones that are locally grown due to the fact that most independent long haul truckers cannot afford the high cost of diesel to earn a decent living. For me, I am lucky that I live in an area of California where the different kinds of locally grown produce is abundant. But for those who live in areas of this country that are not farm rich, just imagine what it would be like if the thought of eating a fresh orange becomes just a dream.

So, now doesn’t it make sense to start a home based business where your daily commute is reduced to just running errands and the kids around town? If a large percentage of the population starts working from home, just think about how our gasoline consumption would decrease nationwide. Thus, reducing our countries dependence on foreign oil.
