There are many advantages to starting a home based business. One of the main advantages is in the name: you get to work from home. This is a significant advantage for those that want to (or simply have to) spend time with their family – perhaps to care for an older or disabled relative – and for whom commuting to work every day is simply not an option.
Home based business, by the same reasoning, allows many business people to cut costs significantly: home based business requires no office space, no additional staff, no cleaning staff, and no commute. The last of these is arguably the greatest advantage of a home based business. The time saved in not commuting and not dealing with offices can also be converted into money, meaning more net income to take home – except you’re not really taking it anywhere in this instance! – and to enjoy for yourself.
