The 16 GB iphone and the 32GB ipod touch the latest addition to the lineup is to feed the existing demand for more memory and eventually more application to get loaded. The capacity has doubled to a point where you can carry a bible on ipod. The price point is moderately sane not like the $600 craze when the iphone first came out. Apple recognizes that the demand for memory is going to go drastically high to a point of insatiable need, when the 3G bandwidth gets unleashed this year sometime.
