Apple are cunning lot. Of that there is no doubt. Their latest cunning ruse involves NOT SELLING the iPhone games to anyone. How clever is that!?!
Okay, so that’s not the whole story. But the facts are that Apple are no longer distributing the iPhone Games from their online shops; some brick and mortar shops may have left over stock and they are, naturally free to sell them as they see fit. Apple are unlikely to be sending any more over, though.
So why would Apple do this? A strong rumor, and one with which we would be inclined to agree with, is that the new format iPhone games is due imminently. This would mean that Apple don’t want to be sending out loads of the iPhone games only to have to recall them once the new model is out. Also in shutting down the supply chain of these models, they are creating a demand which will be satisfied with the new model.
