What would you type into a search engine to get to the OfficialAres.com website? Would you type ‘Ares’? So would I. In today’s multi-lingual world there are a variety of ways that people spell the name. In a quick search through the OfficialAres.com referral logs, we can quickly see what people try to search for when they end up at the site.
Firstly, and most common amongst the misspellings, is Aires and Aries. These spellings come predominantly from users based in Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the Philippines. Interestingly they are ‘real’ words as we would understand them and must surely result in a lot of possible results for the search term; undeterred, the visitors plough on to the OfficialAres.com site.
The third most common misspelling is Arez and this comes predominantly from people in French speaking areas. A Z is only a backwards S anyway, isn’t it…?
Next in line on the misspellings frequency list is Areas. This is an odd variation of the word to my English ear but clearly it’s a lot more pleasing to the ears of those in South Eastern European countries, where a fair proportion the visitors spell it that way.
Other variations include Aeres, Aris and Aers – who knows where these originate from?
