The notice at the top of the web page for Ares Destiny provides the following bold statement: “CLEAN! Tested with the top antivirus engines”. Unfortunately this is a wild statement and, if true, says more about the inadequacy of the ‘top antivirus engines’ rather than anything about the cleanliness of the Ares Destiny software.
Ares Destiny is actually a fairly average piece of software and actually would be more than adequate for the needs of many people. The fact that the download and install procedure are so very simple and work so quickly would in fact make it quite a good choice for many. The catch, of course, is that it brings an unwanted guest to the party: Dealio.
If you’ve not had the misfortune to come across Dealio before then you should count yourself lucky. It really is a nasty little piece of adware that packages itself as a shopping comparison engine. Actually it just serves pop ups and is incredibly difficult to get rid of. What it is doing packaged with the Ares Destiny software is anyone’s guess.
All this is very unfortunate because without this fairly major flaw Ares Destiny could add something new to this cramped market.
