Apple has been pushing developers to charge for the apps that they plan to make available to the app store. When you realize that Apple intend to take 30% of the revenue from App sales, and in fact does not take anything for the hosting or distribution in the app store, this urgency is not at all surprising.
So the results of a recent survey, conducted among 20 developers who were getting their hands mucky with the iPhone at WWDC, may be a little disappointing to the big A and its shareholders: 71% of apps in the (October 2nd, 2008)
